Michigan State Police troopers were dispatched at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, to a home construction site in the 7300 block of Croton Hardy Drive after human remains were located.

Based on the initial investigation, the remains are not believed to be recent, and there is no indication of foul play. The investigation remains ongoing regarding the identity and origin of the remains.

The Western Michigan University Medical Examiner’s Office took custody of the remains. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
