On Friday, Sep. 18, at approximately 8:02 a.m., deputies from the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office responded to a two vehicle crash with injuries at the intersection of 5 Mile Road and 100th Avenue in Hinton Township.
According to the investigation, the wreck occurred when a 24-year-old woman from Morley disregarded a stop sign and struck an eastbound vehicle, which was driven by a 74-year-old man from Stanwood. The 24-year-old woman had serious injuries and was transported by Aeromed to Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital. The 74-year-old man had minor injuries and was transported to Corewell Health Hospital in Big Rapids.
Deputies were assisted by Morton Township Fire/Rescue, Lakeview Fire/Rescue, Mecosta County EMS, Montcalm County EMS, Aeromed, and Meceola Central Dispatch.
